Hanging S&M corpse ignored

Hanging S&M corpse ignored
Friday, September 29, 2006

The body of man wearing a leather mask, cowboy boots and S&M gear hanging from a fence on a busy New York street was ignored by passers by – because they thought it was an early Halloween display.

The corpse of the unidentified man was hanging by a dog collar from the fence post on Hudson Street, in New York's West Village area noted for its S&M and gay bars. In events that in no way confirm a huge number of stereotypes about New Yorkers, it remained there for over an hour, as some people dismissed it as a quirky street decoration.

Police have not yet determined if the man, described as being in his 40s and having pale skin - died by accident during a sex act or if it was suicide.

However, several witnesses said the position of the body suggested he may have lost his balance and strangled himself accidentally.

事故にしても自殺にしても、世の中には色々な趣味の人がいるんだなと驚かされます。 mrgreen
